Welcome to the Section of Artificial Intelligence

The Section of Artificial Intelligence consists of a group of scientific workers and postgraduates concentrated at the Department of Cybernetics of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. It is a young dynamic team with an average age below 30.

The basic activity is research into sophisticated computer algorithms and methods of intelligent machine decision-making and classification. The research mainly focuses on the area of man-machine voice communication in natural language. In the field of research and development of voice technologies, the group ranks among the foremost domestic and internationally recognized workplaces.

The knowledge gained from the research activity is conveyed to the students in the form of tuition or by means of engaging the interested students in work on the grants investigated, development projects or tasks solved in co-operation with industry. The successful results of the group are demonstrated by a number of references.
